fun, fun, fun! asked: me and my friend who are knowledgeable when it comes to building houses from electrical, framing, roofing, siding and plumbing have an issue where we put a second floor on his house and where the toilet drain has to go is through the floor joists then down to meet the original drainage.we have to drill through both floor joists/original roof rafter to get the right pitch for drainage because the new floor and existing rafters.to get to the plumbing.that’s 5 ft .with the floor joists at 16 inches on center there is no way to slip a pipe through those holes in the rafters/joists without using couplers to join the short length of piping.i believe that cutting out sections of the new floor joists so the pipe will work will weaken the structure.so what do i do?

BLN_MRTNZ asked: My husbands car just the water pump (and other things) repalced this week and the next day after he brought the car back from the mechanic it wouldn’t start. The mechanic came over today and said that it is an electrical problem and he should take it to his friends body shop who knows about this. We think the guy probably did somthing to the car since my husband says that he knows his car and the stereo is acting really bad. It seems that the car wants to start because it makes a whooping sound.
If anybody knows,is it a electrical problem?
and do you know someone in L.A. (or N. hollywood) that won’t ripp us off.
Please help. By the way that won’t be too expensive (we are a bit short on money)

Tyler A asked: Today i was driving and I tapped my brakes and my radio turned off only for about .7 seconds and turns back on. It did it once more when i was braking and the radio and heat shut off again for about .7 seconds. I noticed the second time, when the radio killed, that was when the ABS should have gone off… the ABS did not go off. I went and found some ice and hit my brakes and the ABS did go off. I am thinking it is my wheel speed sensor? The engine hasnt died yet because the power comes back on quickly.

TomMiller asked: Alright I have asked a few questions on this car already but more keeps happening… I’ll just run down the list. My headlights won’t shut off, my taillights and blinkers don’t work, hazards don’t even come on, and I am getting mad. When my taillights weren’t working I tried switching a relay to see if they would but then that’s when the blinkers stopped working.
I am going to have to pay 65 bucks/hour if I can’t figure this out, please help!

clueless asked: We’re building a new home and I am in love with the idea of darker hardwood (like walnut) or a stain which would darken another type of wood. I’m looking for a walnut type appearance, including on the stairs. If anyone has any input about their own experience, I would be very appreciative. Thank you so much!
