In Windows X P Professional this little icon in my tool bar lets me know constantly that an update is ready…After days of clicking INSTALL and having it tell me that it was installed, a few minutes later It would remind me of the need again. Over and over, the same update. Now it says that it cannot be installed…Why then do I keep getting the reminder?

I just got a new tub wall put in. The man who installed it put 100% silicone around it including the top by the ceiling and on the edges. But I have to paint and where he put it on it is on the wall a little and on my crown moulding. I tried to paint but the paint won’t stick at all. I’m trying to take the silicone off now, with great difficulty. What can I do?
The silicon is up on my crown molding and too hard to reach to remove. Can I apply a normal paintable silicone over it? I don’t want to have to hire a carpnter to come in and replace my crown moldings.

computer is dell dimension 9100; when i install win xp home on my computer, a big problem happens. when i reach the windows setup screen, where you press enter, R or F3, nothing happens, as if keyboard just stops, but the keyboard works fine up until that stage. already tried this about a dozen times.

P.S. cannot login on my OS
my computer hangs on the blue welcome screen with windows logo(just before login profiles) even if i tried all the other login methods like safe mode, etc…thats why i need to reinstall XP… Really need help! Thanks
